Fair Elections Act Becomes Effective
On May 5, 2018 D.C. Law 22-94, the “Fair Elections Amendment Act of 2018” (Fair Elections Act), became effective in the District of Columbia. The “Fair Elections Act” provides for publicly funded political campaigns in the District of Columbia, and establishes the Fair Elections Program within the Office of Campaign Finance.
