OCF Issues Order on Jeffrey Thompson Investigation

The DC Office of Campaign Finance (OCF) has concluded its investigation and has negotiated settlements in the following matters in which it was determined that the listed parties have violated the provisions of the Campaign Finance Act governing campaign contributions.

  1. OCF v. Lee Calhoun (OCF FI-2013-013) – Campaign Contribution Violations. Settled for $2000.00 in fines and a commitment to refrain from engaging in political activity in the District of Columbia in the future.
  2. OCF v. Stanley Straughter (OCF FI-2013-014) – Campaign Contribution Violations. Settled for $2000.00 in fines and a commitment to refrain from engaging in political activity in the District of Columbia in the future.
  3. OCF v. Jeffrey Thompson (OCF FI-2013-015) – Campaign Contribution Violations. Settled for $80,000.00 in fines (of which $50,000 has been paid) and a commitment to refrain from engaging in certain political activity in the District of Columbia during the 2018 Election Cycle and to consult with the OCF prior to any future engagement in certain political activity.
