Individuals who obtain petitions from the Board of Elections & Ethics to be placed on the ballot for the 2012 election and 2012 special election must file a Statement of Candidacy (OCF Form 15) with the Office of Campaign Finance within five days of obtaining said petitions. This obligation is required by indidviduals who wish to become candidates for the following Offices in 2012:
- Presidential Preference
- Presidential Delegate and Alternate Presidential Delegate
- At-Large Member of the District of Columbia Council
- Ward Member of the District of Columbia Council (Wards 2, 4, 5, 7 & 8)
- United States Senator
- United States Representative
- National Committeeman
- National Committeewoman
Candidates for Delegate to the United States House of Representatives and Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner are not required to file the Statement of Candidacy.
