ANC Financial Summary Statement

Thursday, November 29, 2012

The District of Columbia Municipal Regulations (DCMR) requires that each ANC candidate file The Summary Financial Statement of Candidate for the Office of Member of an Advisory Neighborhood Commission (OCF Form 18) no later than sixty (60) days after the Board of Elections and Ethics certifies the election results or certifies the filling of an ANC vacancy. The 2012 general election was certified by the Board of Elections on Thursday, November 29, 2012. Therefore, all candidates are advised to file the required form no later than Tuesday, January 29, 2013, if they have not already done so.

The Summary Financial Statement of Candidate for the Office of Member of an ANC shall included: total receipts and expenditures relative to seeking election to the Office of ANC; Cash on Hand at the close of the reporting period; total amount of Debts and Obligations owed to and owed by the ANC candidate; the method of disposal of surplus funds; certification that the ANC candidate did not receive contributions from any person excluding the candidate, in excess of twenty-five ($25) dollars; certification that the ANC candidate did not receive contributions from any person or make expenditures, including from or by the candidate, to support the election to ANC office.

This year OCF Form 18 may be electronically filed on our website.  Reminder letters will soon be mailed to each ANC candidate containing the necessary information to file their report electronically.  In the interim, if you wish to obtain that information, please contact Wesley Williams, Public Affairs Manager, via email at [email protected] so that you may electronically file.

Filing the report electronically is optional. If you wish to file on paper, you may download OCF Form 18 from our website under “Downloadable Forms.”

If you have any additional questions regarding your ANC filing requirements, please contact Mr. Williams at the aforementioned email address or by telephone at (202) 671-0551.
