24 Hour Reports

The treasurers of committees of candidates on the ballot for the November 8, 2016 general election who receive a single contribution of $200 or more between November 1st and Tuesday's election must notify this Office of that contribution within 24 hours of receipt.

OCF Form 16-A (24 Hour Report) may be used for this report, or the treasurer may use his or her own personal stationary provided that the following information is contained on the stationary:

   a.  The candidate's name and the office sought;
   b.  The identification of the contributor; and
   c.  The amount and date of receipt of the contribution;

The contribution(s) must be itemized on the next scheduled report (December 10th) of the committee.  The 24 hour report cannot be filed electronically.  However, the form is downloadable on this website or may be picked up from this Office.  The report may be mailed to this Office, faxed (202-671-0658) or emailed to [email protected]

If you have any questions on this matter, please call Wesley Williams, Public Affairs Manager, at (202) 671-0551 or the aforementioned email address.

This requirement applies only to committees for candidates on the ballot for the general election.  PACs do not file this report.
