This notice is to inform candidates seeking election or filling a vacancy to the Office of Member of an Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) of specific revisions made to the reporting requirements.
The District of Columbia Municipal Regulations (DCMR) require that each ANC candidate file a Summary Financial Statement (OCF Form 18) no later than thirty (30) days after the Board of Elections and Ethics certifies the election results or certifies the filling of an ANC vacancy. See 3DCMR §3002.5 (1998, as amended). an ANC vacancy.
The Summary Financial Statement of Candidate for the Office of Member of an ANC, as revised , shall include: total receipts and expenditures relative to seeking election to the Office of ANC; Cash on Hand at the close of the reporting period; total amount of Debts and Obligations owed TO and owed BY the ANC candidate; the method of disposal of surplus funds; certification that the ANC candidate did not receive contributions from any person excluding the candidate, in excess of twenty-five ($25) dollars; certification that the ANC candidate did not receive contributions from any person or make expenditures, including from or by the candidate, to support the election to ANC office.
The report required for the 2006 General Election is due on Thursday, December 7, 2006.
This report must be filed timely to avoid possible fines or late fees.
